Weekend with Family

Thursday Matthew and I drove up to the Basin to spend time with our family. We stopped in Riverton on the way there so that Matthew could get some work done at the Livestock office. Thursday night we hung out in Lovell. We were able to see our nephew Stetson and niece Kandace. Who are getting so big from the last time we saw them. Stetson talks so much more now. And Kandace can sit up by herself. Friday night we had Bullinger family pictures with just my sisters and brother , Mom & Dad. My grandpa took them in his yard. They turned out really well. So I can't wait to get them back so we have both a new Asay and Bullinger family picture in our apartment. Saturday I was able to go to Burlington Pioneer days with my family while Matthew helped him dad haul hay all day. My little sisters and brother were in the parade , so I got to see them driving the owner of Napa's my old bosses corvett. I saw friends that I hadn't seen for a while. It was fun to see them all. Then Saturday night we got together with Richard and Katie Walker and got a bite to eat, and shot clay pigeons. It was great to catch up with them also. We had a great trip and we can't wait to go back soon in a few weeks before school starts.

The King of Country

Last night Matthew and I had tickets to George Strait at Frontier Days. We went with a few of our friends, Rocky, and Trevor and Andrea. Julianne Hough opened for the King. I had never heard of her, but I did know one song that she sang. (" That Song In My Head") We were in the Party Zone, so we were down on the floor next to the stage. But there were 22,000 people there at the concert,so were weren't able to get even close to the stage. We were over on the edge and were only able to see the concert from the big screen they had set up. Matthew lifted me up a few times and I was able to see George Strait on stage a few times. It was a great concert , and we are glad we went. When are we ever going to be able to see the King of Country in concert again. He sang a lot of my favorites like "How about those Cowgirls", "Seashores of Old Mexico", " Troubadour", and "Check Yes of No". The audience all gave him an encore, so he got back on stage and sang three more songs for us. It was the biggest concert we had ever been to. You have gotta love George Strait. Wednesday we have free tickets to Rodney Adkins , but we haven't decided if we are going to go yet. It was kind of a pain to get parking and getting out of the concert.

New Babies

Matthew has started up milking goats again for the Lewis lab on campus. They do the spider silk experiments with the goats milk. Matthew took a few pictures of the baby goats while he was out milking today. Here they are:

Update on Life!!

Not a whole lot has been going on in our life right now. Matthew is done working in Riverton. He will be in Cheyenne for the rest of the summer. It is great to have to home. I sure do miss him when he is gone. Matthew is still doing his online summer classes, and he is doing well. They sure keep him busy though. I am really loving my job. This last week I was in the baby room all day. It has been fun to take care and play with babies. They offered me a job for the fall. I don't know which room they will put me in, but it will be great to have a part time job while going to school. This week we are going to George Strait concert at Cheyenne Frontier days. We are super excited to see the King of Country in concert. We have friends that will be coming down Trevor and Andrea , and Rocky are going with us. So it should be a great party. We are also planning on going home here in a couple of weeks . We are excited for that also we have been home for a while. Today for Sunday dinner we decided to try something new. We used Matthew's mom's BBQ sauce recipe on deer steaks. It was actually extremely good, and I couldn't even tell it was deer meat. Saturday Sonnie Jardine and I went to the Stake dance to help chaperone, and I seriously got asked to dance by a high school kid. I decided to need to wear frumpy looking clothes for now on to dances when I don't have Matthew with me. Well that's about it that has been going on with us. Our summer is flying by. I can't believe that we will soon be back in school. Hope you all have a great week!

Happy 4th of July!!

To celebrate the 4Th Matthew and I traveled to McCook, NE to visit Matthew's brother Christian, his wife Jill , and their boys Carson and Travis. We left around 4 on Thursday and got there late. But guess who was up waiting for us. Carson met us at the door. Friday Matthew was able to go to work with Christian for a few hours. Jill and I were going to take the boys to the pool but it was kind of rainy all morning. By the afternoon we were outside playing with their cute new beagle Opie. That night we helped them clean their church , and then we hit up a Mexican resturant. It was super tasty. Thanks for taking us there guys!. Then Saturday we woke up and headed to a parade. It was a pretty good little parade with tons of classic cars and tractors. At the end of it the fire trucks were spraying people. Jill and the boys got it. Then we headed back home and sat and talked and got ready for a bbq. Jill thanks again for the awesome food. We then played a mean game of T ball. I am pretty sure Jill and I beat Matthew and Chritian. McCook put on an awesome firework show. They handed out 3D glasses before hand, and it made the fireworks look like they were closer than they really were. Sunday morning we took were on our way home. We had soo much fun visiting Christian, Jill and the Boys. Carson and Travis grow more everytime we see them. We can't wait to see you guys soon. Love and miss you.

STRIKE ONE
