One year older

Yesterday I turned another year older. 24, Yikes! I am trying to figure out how I can stay this age forever, and of course look this age forever. Anyways I didn't take any pictures yesterday, but I had a wonderful birthday. Ian let me sleep in till 8:30. I think he knew it was mom's birthday. We had a little Memorial day picnic at the Asay's inside because it's been so rainy here the last few days, and we had birthday cake. I ended my wonderful birthday with Matthew taking me out to Rib and Chop for dinner. Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. It's not so bad to turn one year older. Yay for birthdays! ;)

2012 Graduation

My little brother Jacob graduated from high school Monday evening. It was so crazy to see him graduate because I swear when I was graduating from high school I seemed so much older. He is all grown up now and headed to college in the fall. We are so proud of you Jacob, and wish you the best of luck with your future plans.

1 Year Old Pictures

My friend Hannah took Ian's 1 year old pictures. I love them! She caught his cute wrinkle nose smile, and his sweet personality in them. Thanks Hannah!

Wyoming...

We are back in Wyoming with family for the summer. We sure have enjoyed being around so much family. Matthew is working hard on the farm. He has AI all his dads heifers, irrigating and they moved cows from the May farm on Saturday. I am taking a couple of classes this summer. One that I have to observe at the Head Start for 7 days. I am so thankful to my sister inlaws for taking care of Ian so I can do my class. Ian loves being around all his cousins, and plays so well with all of them. Matthew and I already got an assignment in the ward. We get to speak to the youth at a fireside in a couple of weeks. We look forward to that. The weather has been so nice here, and we can't wait till the whale pool opens at the park, so we can do lots of swimming. We just had new pictures of Ian taken by my friend Hannah, and we are super excited to see how the turned out. Ian has a love for animals. My mom has baby chicks, and a big dog that he just is crazy about. He also loves all the animals at Matthew's parents. Yay for being on the farm.

We stopped on our drive in St. Regis to see the aquarium.

My mom has about 100 new baby chicks.

Ian loves my Mom's dog Ace.

Happy Mothers Day

This year was my very first Mothers day, and it was a wonderful. We got to spend time with both of our Moms, and have dinner with them. I sure am thankful for my Mom. She has taught me so much that has helped me become the person I am today. I am also so thankful for Matthew's Mom. She raised Matthew to be an amazing husband and dad. Our wonderful Grandma's are very important to us as well.  I love being a mom.  It's the best calling I have in life, and I love my baby boy like crazy. Although it's not the easiest job I wouldn't change it for anything. Hope all the mothers and grandmas had a wonderful Mothers day.

Love my Ian boy. I feel so blessed to be his mom.

What a difference a year makes....

Everyone always told me that your babies will grow up so fast, and the cherish every moment with them. I didn't believe it because when I first held Ian in my arms I felt like he would be this tiny forever. I miss that tiny baby stage where I would just hold him all day long, but I love this stage of his life also. He is so much fun, and makes me laugh every day. Being a mom teaches you so much about yourself, and I never thought I could love a little baby so much. Love you Ian you make me the happiest mama ever!

Happy Birthday!

Last night we had a 1st birthday bash for Ian. We had grandpas, grandmas, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends there. We started out at the park to eat dinner, but it got so windy that we ended the party at Grandma Asay's. We opened presents and had cake in the nice warm house. Matthew and I greatly appreciate all our family and friends that love us to come celebrate our baby boy's 1st birthday. He got so many great presents. Thanks everyone for making Ian's birthday the best!
