Snow and Lots of it

Tuesday we had to be up early to head to Billings. Ian has therapy in Billings on Tuesdays. It hadn't started snowing when I got up to get ready. By the time we left it was snowing hard. It was snowing a lot more out at our house. The closer we got to town it wasn't as much. I was worried we weren't going to make it to Billings. The roads were fine once we hit Frannie. Then on the way home we drove about 50 the whole way from Bridger home. We ended up with about 11 inches of snow. A lot of it melted Thanksgiving day, and the day after. It turned out drive way and road to our house into a muddy mess. Then we got more snow just last night. Winter is here full blown.

Thanksgiving 2014

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We had lunch at my families. We had it at my uncle Chris and aunt Christine's house this year. They just added on their house, and it's beautiful and big. Perfect for a big family get together. We ate lots of yummy food there and enjoyed all the company. Both my sisters came this year. It was so fun to have us all there. Minus my brother who is on his mission. We sure did miss him.
After lunch there we headed to Greybull to pick up Alan's chute. Matthew used it to preg check his dad's cows on Saturday. Once we got back to Lovell we ate yummy pie with Matthew family. His Aunt Diane came down with her family. We enjoyed telling stories and eating lots of pie.
This year I am so thankful that we are able to live so close to both our families. It has been such a blessing. I am also thankful for my sweet little family. Family is very important to me, and they mean the world to me. I am so thankful for Ian and the Christ like person he is. He teaches me to be a better person each and every day. I am so thankful for the therapy and the therapist we have for him. Especially his therapist Dani. She is so amazing with him. I am thankful for Chloe and her spunk. She keeps me laughing ,and I am so blessed to have such a beautiful baby girl. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband. He works so hard for our family, and he loves everything about being a vet. He always puts a smile on my face, and is constantly making sure I am happy. I love you Matthew. I am so thankful for my Savior and his sacrifice and understanding of my trials. I have so many blessings in my life, and have lots to be thankful for this year. I thank my Heavenly Father for it all, and much more.

Preg Checking Cows

Matthew's family always preg checks cows the day or two days after Thanksgiving. Matthew had to work on Friday, so they did it Saturday. The kids and I went down for just a few minutes. The sun was out, but the wind was so cold. I did happen to get a few pics though while we were down there. Matthew said that it all went well. It was nice to be able to use Alan's silencer chute.

20 months..

Chloe turned 20 months old on the 28th. She is growing up so fast. She is so much fun, and full of energy and sass. Chloe sure is a bossy pants, and tells me no all day long. Of course I tell her no a lot more lol. She is always into things and making messes. It's hard to keep up with her. She loves to color pictures, and has started drawing circles. She is a jabber box too. Some of her new words are snow, tree, Britt, East, namma, yes, lets go, hat, dor dor dor for dora, hair and so many more words. She loves singing wheels on the bus, and her favorite part is babies cry and mama's sshh sshh. She has been sick with a nasty cough the last few days, and has been so clingy and sad. Hopefully she gets better soon, because she is such a happy girl normally. She loves playing with her cousins, and loves her big brother. Chloe loves watching cartoons, we have a tv head on our hands I think already. She wants to be involved in everything that is going on. She has to do everything on her own too.
Chloe baby we love you so much. We are happy you are in our family, and you are such a blessing in our lives. We can't believe that you are so close to be 2 years old. Love you pretty girl.

Life Is Busy

I have been the worst at keeping this blog updated. Life just keeps getting busier and busier. We have been busy with sick kiddos lately. A few of weeks ago the clinic in Billings called me, and asked if I could come get Ian early. He had been pulling on his ears, and screaming at everyone. We rushed back to Lovell and went to the doctor. Sure enough Ian's left ear had an ear infection. We did a round of antibiotics, and he started feeling better. Then about 2 weeks later I picked him up at the CRC from preschool and they said he was pulling on his right ear now. Sure enough he had a ear infection in his right ear. We are doing a other round of antibiotics and ear drops this time. He is finally starting seem better these last few days. Last Saturday the rest of us were struck with a little flu bug, everyone but Ian, thank goodness. Friday night I had our ward craft night that I was helping with. My sister came over and watched the kids until Matthew got home. She stayed the night because it snowed like crazy. The next morning Chloe woke up and threw up 3 times, and then seemed fine. However I started feeling yucky, and only threw up once. Then Matthew got it Saturday night and Sunday. I am glad it was a short lived flu bug though.
Ian has been super busy with therapy, and is doing wonderful. I love that we have the resources for him. It has been a blessing. Chloe is a busy girly. She is talking up a storm and copies everything Ian does.
Matthew has been super busy with work, and doing quite a few clients on the side here in town. He had a little excitement a few weeks ago as well. He was driving from Powell to Lovell to go to a dentist appointment, and ended up having a tire blow out. He has been driving the little car lately, which has been nice on gas. We ended up putting 4 new tires on his truck. Yikes. But its re-assuring that they are good tires for winter.

We are getting really excited for the holidays. Both my sisters are coming up for Thanksgiving, so it should be fun. Also tonight my sister, mom and I are going to the Mockingjay. Can't wait!

I cut my hair off and I am loving it!

Sunday best! I made this matching skirt and tie for the kids.

A little after nap snack and cartoons.

I painted a old night stand for our new tv stand. I love it !

Chloe was sick on Saturday. All she wanted to wear was her hat and fuzzy socks.

Ian thought it was so funny to sit on my shoulders.

Poor sick little boy

Last Cow Trailing For The Year

Saturday the guys all got up early and starting trailing the cows home for the winter. Around 10 Jill, Jan and I with the little kids headed with lunch and drinks to meet them. The cows trailed really well. They trailed a long ways, and the horse and cowboys were pretty tired by the end. At one point Mike the horse Travis was riding just laid down on his side. It was pretty scary, but Travis handled it well and got off quickly. Not long after he was up and riding him again. Chloe & Ian sure did love riding for the little time they got to. Hopefully some day we can find a good horse that will be theirs. Then they can ride all the time. Ian especially loves it. Once Chloe sees Ian riding she always wants to do it. The weather was just perfect for trailing cows too. Not too hot but just enough breeze to keep the guys cool. We left the cows at the setco corrals until Monday morning. Daniel, Matthew and Stan trailed them the rest of the way this morning. It is great that we can be around now to make these great memories for our kids. The last time Matthew and I were here when they trailed the cows in November, was the 1st year we were married. Now hopefully  we wont miss another cow trailing.

Halloween 2014

We had a wonderful Halloween. The kids really liked it this year. On Tuesday we had our wad trunk and treat. They served scones and chili before hand. Then the trunk n treating began. I took Chloe first while Ian and Matthew handing out candy. Then we switched and I took Ian. Ian was really catching on to it. He would put his candy right into his bag, and scream his happy/excited scream. He loved it. On Wednesday, Kasi had us all over to decorate cookies. It was lots of fun. I sure love that my kids can be around their cousins now that we have moved back.
Friday, Ian wore his costume to preschool. All the moms took treats and the kids ate lots of goodies. They said Ian enjoyed about 10 oreo cookies, and that was about it. After school and therapy we headed to my moms. We hung out there for a bit, and then trick or treated at my grandmas. Before we headed back to Lovell we stopped by the feed lot to see my dad. The kids loved running around up there, and seeing papa.
Once we got back to Lovell we headed to Stand & Jan's. Matthew met us there with McDonalds for dinner. We ate on the drive into town. We stopped by Grandma Dorothy's, Shawna Bischoff's, Dani & Kades, and Grandpa Monks & Donna's. The kids made a haul just with all the relatives.
They each have a gallon size bag of candy now. Ian sure thought it was cool running up the side walks in town at night too. He was pretty excited about the whole thing. He also handed out kisses to every person we stopped at. :)
