18 months

Chloe is now 18 months old. We put her in nursery two week prior to when she turned 18 months. She did great those first two weeks, but the actual day she was old enough she was sad. Silly girl. We just love our little independent Chloe girl. She has to do everything on her own. Never wants help. She can be so shy at times, but other times not shy at all. Chloe is growing up to be such a pretty girl. Her is what Chloe has been up to:
-Words: go, ball, ta da, shoe, toes, nose, eyes, pup ( puppy), titty (kitty), tow (cow), nana (Ian), bow, book, dada, mama, bye bye, no, yes, ah ha, boo, baba, all done while signing it, signs and says more, signs please.
- Likes: reading books, playing on the ipad, puzzles, dancing, taking baths, playing outside, playing with balls, baby dolls, making messes, getting into things, mickey mouse, watching cartoons, wearing shoes, going anywhere, helping with anything.
-Eats: yogurt, cheese, cereal, drinks lots of milk and juice in a sippy cup, mac and cheese, cottage cheese, tortillas, chips, candy, gold fish, popcorn, and fruit.

Chloe's 18 month Stats:

Weight: 24 pounds

Height: 31 inches tall

Wears: Size 18 month clothes, size 5 in shoes, 4/5 diaper

Chloe has lots of hair in the back not a lot in the front :)

Weening Calves

On Saturday, we all headed to Dryhead again to ween calves. All the guys left around 5:30 and started rounding up the calves. Then all the sister in laws, Jan and kiddos headed in around 9. We all loaded up in Jill's car and my car. It's so crazy how we can't fit in just one suburban any more. We have grown so much, since when I first joined the Asay family.
Once we got up there, they kids ran around and played for a while. Then it was time to start grilling up burgers. The guys came in for lunch. We all ate, then they headed out for one more round up of calves.
The round up went really well, and it was a beautiful day up there. Not too hot. It has been 4 years since Matthew and I have been up to help ween. I love Dryhead this time of year with all the fall colors. They will round up all the cows in another month or so. We sure do love working as a family!

1st day of Preschool

Ian started preschool at the Children's Resource Center today. He was very excited when we went in and he got to play in the gym first thing. Ian's cousin Britt is in his class with him. As well as his friend Tyson from nursery at church. I have heard wonderful things about the CRC preschool and can't wait to see what Ian learns this year. When I picked him up, he was super happy reading a book with the speech therapist. Chloe was over joyed to see him, and he gave us both kisses.
It was a challenge to get pictures of this boy this morning, but I managed to get a few.

Us lately

Summer is coming to a end, and we are most defiantly going to miss the warm days. I love that we moved back home now so we can enjoy harvest time. Ian will be starting preschool on Monday. We went to get him all signed up on Wednesday last week. Ian was not happy to be there though. I am pretty sure it was because he had just got up from a nap about 30 minutes before. I hope Monday will be better. Since preschool is now on Monday and Fridays, we have switched our Billings Clinic days to Tuesdays. It will be a good thing to have Ian go on Tuesdays now. They are getting their ABA preschool going, and there is a little boy Ian's age that is on the same track as him. Their plan is to get lots of social time in with these two boys. It will be wonderful for Ian. We are super excited to see the progress he does with preschool, home therapy and clinic therapy.  We have been able to go to lots of my baby sister Bethany's volleyball games lately. It's been so fun to be home, so we can be more involved in our families lives. Wednesday was our ward harvest dinner as well. We were able to enjoy our dinner, which was so good, but then Matthew got called out. The kids and I decided to head home as well, rather then wrestle them both myself. Friday night we finally made it to the mtns to go fishing. We have been talking about doing it all summer, but never found the time. Matthew's parents went with us. While Matthew fished, I watched and Stan & Jan took the kids for a walk. It was a fun trip. The weather was really chilly though. We could see our breath in the 34 degrees up there. When we started down the mtn it  warmed up to 65 by the time we hit our house. Matthew caught about 8 fish, so we will have to have a fish fry soon. Ian and Chloe loved running around, and Ian would of loved to jump in the creek. Maybe next summer when it's warmer we will let him do it.
