Snips and snails, and puppy dog tails

That is what this little boy is made of. Ian absolutly loves being outside. He takes every chance he can get to sneak out the door, when someone is going out. Sometimes he sneaks out even when I don't know. He loves the dogs, cats, sheep, cows, dirt and water. Ian is in heaven when he is outside.

Hot Day Equals Sprinkler Time

Summer has hit us finally, and it's been a hundred degrees the last few days. Last night Daniel, Kasi and Britt were here to help in the garden, but it was just too hot. So we ran through the sprinklers instead. Ian loved it!

Ian loved the sprinklers until he got shot in the face a few times.

Temple Marriage

Today we enjoyed being at my cousin Lindsay and her husband Chris's temple sealing. I love going to temple marriages. They mean so much more, and you know that they are going to last for eternity. Every time I attend one I feel the spirit so strong, and I am reminded how truly blessed I am to be sealed to my family. It was great to see lots of family, and enjoy the blessings of the temple.

Grandma Asay's 96th Birthday!

Wednesday was Grandma Asay's 96th birthday. Matthew's aunt and uncle came into town on Wednesday evening, so we celebrated her birthday last night. We all got together at the park for a BBQ, and homemade ice cream. We enjoyed yummy food, good company, playing at the park and horseshoeing. We sure love Grandma Asay, and are glad we got to celebrate her great 96 years of life with her.

13 months

Ian turned 13 months yesterday. He is such a happy and fun little boy. It's crazy how much he has learned in just the last month. Here are a few things that Ian has been up to:
- He can say moo, dada, mama, baba, hello or hi and signs more. He isn't talking much but sure does jabber all day long.
- He throws his above his head and stands on his tippy toes when someone tells him "so big".
- He pinches his nose when someone tells him "peeuuu"
-He blows kisses, and kisses everyone. At the end of each kiss he adds a "mww". He is such a good snuggler.
- He puts his hands on his cheeks, and says,"awww".
-He likes to nod his head yes, and does it randomly all the time.
-He likes to dance, and stomps both feet super fast while doing so.
-He has started climbing on the couch and benches. Sometimes when he can't quite get up on the couch he screams and yells till he gets there. Then he is so happy.
-He loves being outside. I think he would stay out there all day if I let him. He gets pretty mad when someone goes out the door and doesn't take him, or he tries to escape with them.
-He is such a good sleeper. Lately he goes to bed 9-10, and sleeps to about 8-9.
- He loves to eat cheese, yogurt, ice cream, blueberries and any other fruit, goldfish, drink his baba, fruit snacks, and pretty much everything else you give him.
-He likes to watch Mickey Mouse Club house. When  ever it comes on he will look at me so excited. It at least keeps him occupied for a few minutes.
-It's impossible for Matthew or I to get to sit through all three meetings at church. Some Sunday's I wonder why they don't have a pre-nursery.
Ian is almost always a happy boy, and makes us laugh all the time. He just has a great personality all ready. We love him so much, and can't imagine our family without him.

Planting the Garden

Friday evening we planted the garden with Matthew's family. Ian loved helping in the garden too. He got covered in mud, and loved being outside. A garden is one of the many perks of summer time, and we can't wait to enjoy it!

Whale Pool

This week we went swimming at the whale pool with cousins. Ian loves swimming, but the water was so cold this time. He was not sure what to think about it, but he sat in the water for a little while. We can't wait for more warm days to swim.

Our Weekend....

We had a fun and relaxing weekend .Saturday I was able to go to a Vocal Point concert with my mom. Ian and my dad hung out during the concert, and had a blast. The concert was super fun! I just love to listen to men's acapella groups.  Saturday evening all the Asay's got together and went cat fishing. No one caught anything, but we had a good time, and ate yummy food. Today we enjoyed some of Grandma Asay's rhubarb pie, and a yummy dinner with our friends the Whitaker's. We sure to do love being around so much family, and our friends here in Wyoming.
