Back to our Pullman life

Matthew has finished the first week of school, and he seems to really be enjoying it. He has his small animal surgery round this first month, so it will be busy busy, but hopefully it will slow down after that. I am also taking a couple of classes this semester. A math class, and a elementary practicum class which will be the last class I need to get my associates. Yay for some sort of degree after going to school forever. But I will still be working towards my bachelors, which I don't have far to go. Ian and I have been enjoying being back in Pullman. We have been to walking group a few times, spent lots of time at the apartment playground and been to playgroups. The weather is still really nice, so we spend lots of time outside. We went to sign Ian up for swim lessons the other day. It will be a mommy and me swim lessons, and I am pretty excited about them. Ian loves the water, so it should be a success. Today Ian had his 15 month well check up, and he is growing and healthy. The only thing is he still has fluid in his ears. This is crazy for this time of year. His doctor wants him to come back in a month, and we will decide then if he needs tubes. He did have to get one shot, and was not happy at the nurse when he was done. We are loving having a three bedroom apartment. It feels so much bigger than our two bedrooms we have been in since we have been married. Although we will miss our families,we can indeed say that it is nice to be back in Pullman.

After Ian's bath tonight we put him in his robe and slippers. He is looking like the next Rocky Balboa showing those muscles off.

Pizza Party

Monday, before we left for Pullman we had a pizza party with all the Asay's. We will miss everyone till we see them again!

August 16th marks....

 4 years of marriage for Matthew and I. It has been the best 4 years of my life. I remember being really nervous the morning of, but as soon as I was able to see Matthew outside the temple he calmed my nerves. (Seeing him always makes things better :)) I know that our temple marriage is for eternity, and so is our love for each other. A few things we have done together the last 4 years:
- Went to Jamaica for our honeymoon
-Gone to school for all 4 years
-Bought two cars together
-Cooked many meals together
-Spent lots of time driving in the car together , driving from Laramie and Pullman-back to see family
- Moved to Pullman,WA together ( for Matthew to go to Vet school)  where we didn't know anyone, but have made Pullman our home
- Had our sweet baby boy Ian in 2011

Matthew has made me the happiest girl around. He is so good to make sure that I am happy all the time. He helps me through my hard times. He always assures me that everything will be just fine. He loves me for who I am. Matthew and I are best friends forever. Matthew is the best dad to Ian. He loves him to pieces. Ian loves him too.

We spent our anniversary moving into our new 3 bedroom apartment, going to the Vet school BBQ, and ended it with ice cream and a drive. Ian was in the back watching a movie, so we were able to enjoy talking to each other. I loved it! I am so thankful for my wonderful husband, best friend, and the love of my life. I love you like crazy!

15 months

Ian is now 15 months old, and keeps us running. He is one busy toddler.
At 15 months Ian:
- tried his first chocolate milk, and loves it
-loves pickles
-Loves any fruit
- blows kisses, and waves bye bye or hi
-Says hi, bye, dada, mama, ba ba, yes, and sometimes no. He says lots more ( but we don't understand it :)
- Makes horse, cow, dog, duck, snake, and sheep sounds
- Signs more, mine and all done
-Shows us what he wants by pointing to them
-laughs at everything
-Has 10 teeth now. Two molars, and four on top and bottom
-Ian is obsessed with Mickey Mouse Club House. He wont watch any other movie in the car, and throws a fit when a different cartoon comes on the TV.
- He loves to unload things and reload them. Such as the cupboards and dishwasher.
-Ian thinks hitting and pushing is playing, so this is hard when he is playing with his cousins.
- He likes to copy what we are doing or saying
-He likes to throw things
-He eats pretty good most days, but some days he goes on eating strikes. Those days he drinks lots of water, juice and milk
We sure love this crazy boy. We feel so blessed to have a healthy, happy, and wild 15 month old. We love you Ian!

Laramie

Tuesday afternoon we took of for Laramie for the week. Jeff Oyler and Matthew met up in Laramie to go to a AVC conference ( Academy of Veterinarian Consultants). Ian and I stayed at my sister Brandy's house for the week. We really enjoyed catching up with some old friends, and spending time with both my sisters. I was able to go visit everyone at the ECEC where I worked when we lived in Laramie. I also got to see my friend Sonnie, Carissa and Amy.  Matthew really enjoyed his conference and can't wait for his one in September. He said he learned lots.

Ian spent the ride glued to the dvd player watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. His all time favorite.

Sonnie and her cute family came down from Denver to spend a few hours in Laramie with us.

On Friday, Brandy and I took Ian to the rec center to swim. His favorite thing was the water fountains.



We went to the farmers market. It use to be one of my favorite things to do in Laramie.



Saturday morning, before heading to Loveland for some shopping, we got some breakfast with Amy.
