Boating

For Travis's birthday party we were all invited out to the Big Horn Lake to boat for the day. It was a great day for boating. Just perfect weather, and we all had a blast. We went out on the boat when we first got there. We all went on the tube and Travis did some skiing. Matthew took both the kids on the tube. It was so fun to watch both of their reactions. They both loved it. Ian's excitement was obvious because we could hear is happy screams. Before we went back to the dock Matthew tubed on his own. Christian might of been trying to dump him off. Once Matthew finally fell off so did his shorts. He caught them just in time. He wore just some basketball shorts so they didn't float very well. From the boat it looked like he was drowning out there in his life jacket.
After lunch and Travis opened his gifts we played on the beach for a bit. Then Brent, Jill's dad took us for a ride up the canyon. It was beautiful. Ian fell asleep and Chloe did not. We had a great day! Thanks Travis for having your birthday on the boat!

7 years

Today is Matthew and I's 7 year anniversary. I am so lucky to be married to Matthew. He has always stood by my side. He is such a great dad and husband. He works so hard at what he loves to do. This is one of the things that first attracted me to Matthew.  He is a farm boy, works super hard and has always worked hard for his dreams. I am so lucky to have such a kind, smart, hard working, funny, sweetest husband ever. We have been through lots of fun, hard and big trials together. I couldn't of chosen a better guy to go through them with me.
My life has been blessed a million times and more since the day we were sealed in the Billings, MT temple. Thanks Matthew for the best 7 years of my life. I am so glad that I get to spend eternity with you and our family.

Family Pics 2015

I am so lucky that I have my sister Brandy who takes our pictures for us. We did them in a barley field this year. She did such a great job. Thanks Brandy! I cannot wait to see them all!

Splash Pad Fun!

Cowley is a little town about 5 minutes from Lovell, and they have this awesome splash pad. They just put it in this summer. The kids have really loved our trips to the splash pad. We try to go at least once a week. We need to try and go to the Whale Pool again before it closes for the year though too. I love the the splash pad is open from 9-9 every day though. The whale pool is only open in the afternoons during nap time. Ian is in heaven at the splash pad running through the water. Chloe is getting braver and braver each time we go. She does great when she has older cousins or friends that help her play. I am so glad that we have a splash pad so close now. Best thing ever!

Grandma Dorothy

On July 28th we lost Matthew's grandma Dorothy in terrible car accident. She was headed out towards Stan and Jan's to bring them some treats because they were working cows. A tire from a semi came off the trailer, hitting her car, causing her to swerve and hit an suv head on. She was the only one that was killed in the accident. It was such a shock to our family, but we have felt the outburst of love, kind words and prayers from all the community members through out that last few weeks. August 8th was her funeral. It was a beautiful services with lots of family and friends who loved Grandma so much. We will miss Grandma Dorothy so much. We will miss seeing her at the library, stopping by for a Pepsi, helping her around her house and getting sweet hugs and kisses from her. We are all so thankful for our knowledge that someday we will all be together again. We know that Grandma Dorothy is very happy now in heaven with other family who have passed. I am so happy for eternal families.

Jacob's Homecoming

We all headed up to the Cody airport on Wednesday the 5th to greet Jacob as he got off the plane from serving a 2 year mission in Ukraine. The only thing was he never got off in Cody. It hit about 4:45  when he was suppose to land and they said that there was a delay. The plane couldn't land in Cody because of the storm. They headed back to Billings to fuel up and would try again. They said that if they couldn't land again though they were headed back to Denver. Jacob didn't want to end up back in Denver, so he stayed in Billings. About an hour later Jan got a call from him saying where he was. Stan and Jan jumped in the car and headed to Billings to pick him up. They rest of us headed to Burger King for dinner. About 11 o clock that night we got a fun visit from Jacob for a few minutes. He looks great!. Then the next night we all got together for dinner and time to visit with Jacob. He brought us all cool ties, dolls and mace's ( a spiked club). We are so glad that Jacob is back and safe.

County Fair Time

This year we hit up both the Park and Big Horn County fairs. We we to the Park county with our friends the Whitaker's. We got dinner with them before heading over. The kids always love the looking at the animals. Ian isn't a fan of touching the animals, but has a smile on his face the whole time. Once in a while he will plug his nose. I don't blame him. They kind of stink. Chloe wanted to pet every single animal we saw. Her favorite were the cows I think though. After looking at all the animals her and Tell rode a couple of rides together. After that we went and used our gift card we had to Wyogurt. It was a great night, spending with out cute little family.
Then the following weekend my sister Sam was up visiting and we met her and my mom at the fair parade during the Big Horn county fair time. We are going to have to go to that parade more often. The kids scored a Wal-mart sack full of candy. Ian once again was loving all the otter pops they threw.  After the parade we headed over to the fair. We checked out the animals for a bit. Then let the kids play in the bouncy houses and the water park. It was a great day. The only one bad thing happened. I got a bad chip in my Tahoe's windshield. I hate this time of year where the rocks are flying.
