Yikes..

Well I don't think we will be taking a shower tonight or tomorrow. But we are getting new carpet in our apartment. Ever since we moved in it has smelled like a cat lived here. I talked to the manager and we are getting new carpet at 9:30 tomorrow morning. Its a bummer we have to move all our stuff after just moving in, but we are so happy to have new carpet. After it is done I will post pictures of our place. I know my sister Sam has been wanting to see it.

First Day of School

Look at this guy looking good on his first day of Vet school. Yesterday was his first day of Vet school at WSU. He was excited to finally get started on classes. Its going to be a tough 4 years but he will be one of the best I just know it. I started my online classes as well yesterday. They sure did keep me busy for most of my day. I don't think I will have any problem with being bored at home.

New Chapter In Our Lives...

Welcome to the New Chapter in Our Lives. As most of you know we are no longer in our home state Wyoming. We have moved to Pullman, Washington for the next four years of our lives. Matthew starts Vet school tomorrow morning, and I start my online classes tomorrow as well. I haven't blogged for awhile so I have pictures from before we left Wyoming, and the first week or so here in Pullman.
Leaving home was very sad. I cried while saying good bye to my family and my in laws. Pullman will never beat being home in Wyoming. But we are starting to really like it here. We really like our new place and our new ward. A group of ladies in our ward all get together every morning and go on a 3 mile walk, so I joined the walking group. I don't get as good as a work out as they do because they are all pushing strollers, but it is a great social time for me. It was like instant friends as soon as I started walking with them all. I love it. Matthew has also been blessed in friends too. In his class there is a good group of guys that he hangs out with. A couple of them have wives so I enjoy spending time with them as well. I am just so happy that we have a good support group here in Washington already. This last week Matthew has orientation for Vet school. They ended it all with a wonderful white coat ceremony. They gave them all white lab coats. It all made me tear up. Matthew has dreamed and wanted to be a Vet since he was about 3. It makes me so happy that he has reached that goal. He looked great in his coat, he looks like a natural Vet already. Stan and Jan were able to make and occasion. It was great to have them here to enjoy the experience and see our new home.
Pictures from the last few days in Wyoming
Oh ya I died my hair. Well Sam tried to color it more blond before I left and it turned orange. So I fixed it, and colored it brown..

Here are pictures from the White Coat Ceremony....

Heart Attack!!!!

Yesterday I was walking outside to go get the Sunday paper and there was a little surprise waiting for me. Right by the front door on the sidewalk was a big rattle snake. Talk about having a heart attack, I almost did. I ran in the house yelling "Rattle Snake" ,Rattle Snake". Stan ran out the door and killed it for me. OH man don't ya just hate snakes.

Cowboy Up

This morning Matthew, Jared and I got up around 4:30 am, and drove to Cowley to go to Pryor with Grandpa Monk. We had to go check on the cows and make sure they were all in the right place. Matthew and Jared rode horses and trailed the cows to the next pasture. While they did that I picked choke cherries, and rode around with Grandpa Monk. Even though we got up early I was able to get in a couple of naps while we were in the car. It was fun to go up with the boys and spend the morning in beautiful Pryor.

Summer Time...........

Yesterday we had a yummy veggie filled lunch that was all grown in the garden. Jacob and Jared are the drink makers around the Asay house. We have had some pretty good ones the last few days to cool us down in the hot weather.

There is also a set of new wheels on the farm. Or should I say a old set of wheels with new improvements done to it. In order to make the old Beretta work for irrigating they took the doors off, and the trunk off. The irrigating convertible.
