16 months

Ian turned 16 months old yesterday. Time sure is flying by with our sweet Ian. I just can't get enough of that cute smile of his.
What Ian has been up to this month:
-Has his bottom two and top two molars now.
- Throws a lot more fits when he doesn't get what he wants. This kid is determined.
- Says bay bay bay for baby, but not when you ask him to.
-Says " oh to" when he hears "Oh toodles" on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
- Forgets his words a lot. When  he wants something he forgets he knows how to say please or more in sign language. Kind of drives me nuts sometimes. He just screams for it.
-He is my little helper. Whatever I am doing he wants to be too. No matter what it is from cleaning, loading the dish washer, laundry, feeding the twins I babysit their bottles.
-Loves playing swords or guns. He will pick up anything that looks like one and make a bang noise.
-Loves being in nursery since Matthew and I are teachers in there now.
-Likes to bite other babies or adults toes. Maybe because I bite his toes when we are playing, oops :)
- Loves to dip his food in ranch or ketchup. If he wont eat something all we have to do his give him something to dip it in.
-Uses a fork and spoon on his own really well now.
- Loves to spin, spin, spin.
- Has the cutest little dance when any sort of music comes on. He sure knows how to drop that booty.
Ian boy you sure know how to keep your mom and dad running and on our toes. We sure love you though!

Surprise!

Baby Asay #2 is due April 3,2013. I had my first doctor appointment on Friday. We were able to see our baby for the first time. Everything looks great, and I have been feeling pretty good. I have not been as sick as I was with Ian, which has been great. We are so excited for this baby to join our family!
Baby at 10 weeks 3 days
Ian is so excited to be a big brother ( Actually he has no idea what is going on) :)

Small Animal Surgery Round

Matthew had his last check up on his pit bull he spayed Thursday afternoon. He is done with his surgery round. He learned so much, and had lots of fun doing it. But we are glad things will slow down a bit for him, and we will see him a little more.

Palouse Empire Fair

Friday evening we headed to a little town called Colfax, that isn't far from Pullman, to check out the fair. We met up with our friend's the Firth's, and had a blast. We watch a little bit of the rodeo, which was a hoot! The ropers sure weren't any good, but it gave us all a good laugh. We ate some yummy strawberry funnel cake, watched some rides, and looked at all the animals. Ian loved the pigs the most I think. He started making a pig face by the end of the night. Next weekend we will have to hit up the Moscow fair. I love that they have fairs in the fall time here.

Life at the Asay house lately..

It has been a busy couple of weeks. Matthew has been doing his small animal surgery round the last little while. It will be his job to be the surgeon on Thursday. His surgery group spayed one dog last week, and will do one tomorrow, and then his Thursday. He has really enjoyed the surgery round, but will be relieved to have it done with on Sunday. Ian and I will enjoy having him home a little more. I started babysitting 7 month old twins last week. I babysit them every afternoon for three hours. They are lots of work, but super cute. Ian is so sweet to them, and plays so well with them. Life is always crazy at the Asay house, but we sure love each other. We are so thankful to be a family.

Ian loves reading books.

Did I mention that Ian loves watching "Wheel of Fortune". I am pretty sure he is solving the word puzzles right along with the show.He takes it serious,  Smart boy!

This is what the end of our day looks like. Ian just chillin in his diaper.

Meet Roco and Romeo.

He is trying to get his dinosaur he threw behind the entertainment center.
