Trailing to Dryhead

Saturday we helped trail Matthew dad's cows to Dryhead. It was a rainy/ cloudy day, but we had a great time. It was nice that it was cool enough that the guys didn't cook riding. Plus the cows did great because it was cooler as well. We took the cows to the lower part since it was so muddy. It has been quite a while since they have been able to do that. There was plenty of water in the pond for the cows for a few days. It was so great to see how green and tall the grass is up there this year. We are so thankful for all the rain we have gotten this year that has helped that. Ian got to ride the 4-wheeler with grandpa Asay for a while, then he rode with Matthew on the horse as well. Ian could seriously ride the 4-wheeler for hours, and was in heaven while doing so. Chloe also rode with Matthew on the horse for just a little while. She is such a brave little thing and loves it as well. Lot more brave then I am, I worry that I will get bucked off all the time. I drove the dodge with the goose neck horse trailer. It was the first time I had ever done this. It was so muddy so there were a few nervous times of almost getting stuck. Oh and rolling down a huge hill at deadman corrals. Just a little scary lol. Once we got the cows to the lower part we stopped for a picnic. We enjoyed our hamburgers and just as we finished it started to rain. We hurried out of there. It was a great day working as a family!

Chloe:15 months

Chloe turned 15 months on Saturday. It's so crazy to me how much faster Chloe is growing up. I feel like it is even faster then with Ian. Time is flying by faster these days. Chloe is our sweet, sassy, independent princess.
Chloe at 15 months:
-takes one nap a day
-says uh oh, no no, yes, bye, hi, mama, dada, baba, moo, barks, meows, says something that sounds like kitty, horsey, ball, trys to say Ian, and bubble
-waves bye bye, gives kisses, gives high five, do the actions to itsy bitsy spider, climbs everything, runs, swings her arm faster then she is running while running and walking
- loves to do whatever her brother is doing, do things on her own, doesn't like to share food with us ( she wants her own), sing songs, spin and twill/dance, loves her blankets, her bottle, her shoes and going bye bye
-Chloe loves to eats yogurt, gold fish, cheese,grapes, strawberries, mandarin oranges, pizza,  loves ketchup, ranch or sour cream.
-weighs about 21 pounds, wears size 18 month clothes, wears a size 4 shoe and a size 4 diaper
Chloe is a goer and a doer. She has to be going as all times. If her big brother gets to do it so does she. She loves to ride horses with her dad, and see all the animals on the farm. We are kind of getting excited for her to turn 18 months old so she can go to nursery. She is such a handful in nursery. She loves all her cousins, grandmas and grandpas.
Chloe your mom and dad love you so much. We hope that you will always remember that. We love to see you learn and love your big brother. We love that you are best friends with him. Your Heavenly Father loves you!

Asay update

We have been staying extra busy lately. Matthew has been on call more at the clinic. He is on call on Wednesday's and Thursdays every week. Then every third weekend he is on call. He is enjoying his job, and is so happy to be living the dream of a vet. He is also loving being back home to help his dad out on the farm as well. This weekend he has his 10 year high school reunion. I think he is super excited to see his old friends again.
Ian is loving being out in the country. He could just run for miles I swear. We live right on the county road, so I have to watch him so he doesn't run down the road. He is always begging to go to Grandma's house down the road. So that's why he will just take off running down there. He also gets pretty upset when we turn the other way to head into town and not to Grandma's. He loves his Grandma's. I showed him how the climb the tree in out backyard the other day, and he loves being in it. He won't do it by his own yet, which is okay, but loves it. Last week we went to the whale pool. Well I always forget it doesn't open until 1. Well we got there about 20 minutes early. Ian just walked around the fenced in pool waiting for it to open. One the guys that works for the town came about 10 minutes before opening to check the water. He left the gate slightly open. Ian in his shoes and t-shirt ran in and jumped in the pool. He was so proud of his self. The town guy was not impressed. I couldn't help but laugh. Ian is starting to jabber so much more. When we talk to him he jabbers something back often times. He should be starting up the ABA therapy very soon, and we can't wait to see the progress in him.
Chloe is such a handful these days. She is full of attitude. We are loving how much she is talking and jabbing on a conversation with others. She loves to give hugs and kisses to everyone. She also loves to swim and play in the water. She is loving being on the farm as well. Her favorite is all the animals and she is really picking up on their names and sounds they make. She is such a busy body and has to be going all the time. Keeps us all on our toes.
We are loving life as always and loving being a family. Life is great!

I was so proud of Ian for playing with this playdough for about 20 min the other day. He usually will not play with it because the smell bothers him.

Father's Day!!!

I have been so blessed in my life to have a wonderful dad. He raised me in the gospel, and has taught me right from wrong. He is someone I really look up to. He is so fun to see as a grandpa with my own children as well. He is a great example to me.
I am also so blessed to have Matthew in my life. I couldn't of asked for a better daddy for my sweet babies. They adore him, and he is amazing with them.
Matthew's dad is also a great example of a father in my life. I am so thankful to him for raising such an amazing guy for me to marry.
I am especially thankful for my Heavenly Father on this Father's day. With out him I wouldn't have all these wonderful fathers in my life. He is our ultimate example of a father. He loves and cares for us all.

 

Families are Forever

Saturday my little brother went through the temple for his own endowments. Matthew and I were so glad that we got to be there with him. Matthew and I hadn't been to an endowment session together for about two years I think. We have been doing separate sessions while we were in Washington because we didn't have babysitting. It was so nice of Michael and Emily to watch our kids so we could go. We love having them in Billings :)
My sisters got to come up and be there in the temple with us as well. Mark, Brandy's husband couldn't make it because of work. We are glad Brandy made the trip though. We had my parents, little brother, Sam and Evan, Brandy, Matthew and I. Bethany stayed outside with Easton. It was a wonderful day.
I am so thankful that because my family is sealed in the temple we will all be able to be together forever. I love my family so much. It couldn't get any better all being in the temple together.

Cousin Time

We were so glad that cousin Easton and aunt Brandy were able to come up. They came over to Lovell on Thursday and went to the whale pool with us. The kids had a blast. Even though they were shivering the whole time they didn't want to get out. Then we headed to our house and played for a while. Ian loved that aunt Brandy and Grandma would swing him around in the air. Chloe and Easton had so much fun together. I hope they will be best friends when they are older :) Hopefully they can move closer so we can see them more often someday.
Monday before they left back to Laramie we went to my mom's to let the kids play in the kiddie pool at her house. Easton wasn't wanting to play much, but we were sure glad we got to see him one last time. We might have to plan a trip to come see them in Laramie this summer.
