Halloween 2015

We had a great Halloween this year. We enjoyed carving pumpkins as a family for FHE, hit up the ward trunk and treat, Ian had a fun Halloween party at school and we did some trick or treating. Matthew was busy on Halloween, so it was just the kids and I. We went over to my parents and saw my mom at work, and trick or treated my dad at the house. Then we headed over to my cousins, and headed back to Lovell. We only went to a few houses, Grandpa Monk's and Jan and Stan's. The kids got plenty of candy. They were the cutest dinosaur and Elsa ever!

Dr. Asay goes to CRC

Matthew was asked to come to Ian's preschool to talk about being a vet. They were having people come in from the community to talk about what they did to serve the community. Chloe and I went with him to join in the fun. Matthew decided that it would be fun to take one of our goats with him. The kids loved Pickles, and had lots of comments and questions for Matthew.
Lyle, Matthew's boss has a niece in Ian's class. The first question that Matthew asked the kids was, "Where do you take your animals when they get sick?" Lyle's niece said, "I don't take my animals to you, I take them to my uncle Lyle." It was the funniest thing.

ACDC Concert

Matthew and his buddies, Jake , Deloy  and Devin all flew out to the ACDC concert in LA. They have all really wanted to go to a ACDC concert forever, and they finally got the chance. Jake's sister Dana met them all in LA as well as a couple of other friends. They had a few flight problems but finally made it. They had a blast! I am so glad that Matthew got the opportunity to go with all his friends from high school.

Weaning Calves 2015

This weekend we weaned calves in Dry head. Matthew was on call for the weekend, so the kids and I drove up for a few hours to play with cousins. Matthew was able to help at the corrals at home once the calves arrived in trucks for a while. We had Jacob's girlfriend Mckayla Cook ride up with us. It was fun to talk with her. I grew up hanging out with some of her older siblings so we had a good time catching up. The kids were excited once we got there, so they could run around. We started cooking hamburgers not long after we got to the corrals where they loaded the calves up. The kids were starving and ready to eat. Not long after all the guys on horses and the truckers showed up to eat. We enjoyed some super yummy burgers and drinks. Around 2 we headed out with Jan. She needed to be at the church to help set up for the General Women's meeting. We took Janelle with us, and Chloe was extra excited to have her come to our house to play.
I love going up to Dry head this time of year. It's so pretty with the fall colors. That night we stayed up with Matthew's brothers Jared, his wife Renee, Jacob and Mckayla laughing and telling stories.

Night Drive to Dryhead

After Matthew got done with Stake Priesthood meeting we headed up to Dryhead for a picnic. It was the perfect night. We got there just in time to eat our picnic and go on a little walk before it got dark. We drove down past the corrals this time. I had never been past that spot, so it was fun to see. The trees and bushes were all nice and red and orange. It was really pretty. It was a fun night to spend as a family.

1st day of VIP Preschool

Ian started his first day of preschool today. I am super excited for this year, and for his teachers. I just love them already. They are going to be great for him. Also we have Kati going with him to school now, so that will help him a lot. He had a great first day, and was excited to go!
