Update on our life

We haven't been up to a whole lot around here in the Asay family. Matthew has been working in Riverton the last month or so. He is gone during the week and come home on Thursday. Last week he had the great opportunity to go to Jackson to a Vet conference of some sort. He helped give a presentation there. Also he learned tons and got to stay in a fancy hotel. He has been enjoying Riverton. They have tons of in the field work for him. He has gone to a couple of livestock auctions, work with some vets, and helped run a rabies clinic on the reservation. I have been working at the UW Early Child Education Center here in Laramie for about 2 months now. I really enjoy it a lot. I get to play with kids all day, its a blast. But they sure do wear me out sometimes. They don't have a certain room that I always work in. I have worked with kids from a year to 7 years old. I think my favorite rooms so far are the baby room and the toddler room. They do the funniest things and are tons of fun to play with. But the preschool rooms are still fun. Our summer is going by super fast. We can hardly believe that its July. I have been trying to keep myself busy while Matthew is gone during the week. I go to work , then in the evenings I wash dishes for the same science lab that I did during the school year, I have still been keeping up with my running, scrap booking( I have all the engagement and wedding pictures done), and I am reading the 2ND Twilight book. I got to be ready for the second movie in November. Matthew started his online summer classes, and I think they are going well. Its been a busy few weeks working and trying to get those classes done every day. He has his first test for biochemistry tomorrow. He is also starting to apply for Vet school. So Matthew for sure has a busy summer this year. For the 4Th of July we are going to McCook , NE to see Christian, Jill, and the boys for a few days. Both of us don't' have work on Friday, so we will take off Thursday afternoon. We are excited to go see them, oh and their new puppy. We will get some pictures on here of our 4th of July trip soon.

Fathers Are A Blessing In Our Lives.....

Today we celebrate our Fathers, and how important they are in our lives. Not only are we thankful for our earthly fathers, but also we are thankful for our Heavenly Father, and his love, and example to us.

Matthew and I are very very thankful for the examples our Fathers have always been to us. Both of our Fathers have been hard workers their whole lives. And being so they have also taught us to be hard workers in all we do also. Our Fathers have taught us to love one another, share the Gospel to others, obedience, kindness, and there are so many things I can list that our Fathers have and still teach us. Most of all we are thankful for our Fathers examples of righteousness to their Heavenly Father, and their obedience and faith in the Gospel. We want our Fathers to know that we love them so much , more then we could ever tell them.

Family, and A Wedding........

This last weekend I picked Matthew up in Riverton on Friday and we headed to to the Basin for the weekend. My cousin Angela was getting married in the Billings Temple on Saturday, so we wanted to be there for that. We were able to spend time with lots of family. I got to see all my cousins who I haven't seen for a while , and one of my cousins Corey Bullinger is engaged congrats to him and his girl. We are so happy for them, they are getting married in August. The wedding was very nice and Angela looked beautiful. The best part was that Matthew and I were able to go to a session before her wedding. We hadn't been for a while so it was a treat to go. Saturday night we had a birthday party for Grandma Asay. She turned 92, and is still looking great. Sunday was a sad day. We had to say our goodbyes. We drove to Riverton because Matthew has to be there for another week for work. On our way we stopped in Wind River Canyon and fed the giant fish. It is so hard to leave him and drive home to no one. Kind of sad. But I am keeping myself busy, and locking the doors so keep safe. I can't wait for him to come home this weekend, so we can spend time together before he takes off to Jackson for a few days.

OUR WEEKEND

This weekend our friend Parker Lyman came down for his little baby nieces baby blessing and was able to stay at our house. We started the party with hitting up our favorite restaurant for wings The Library. We ordered four pounds and between Matthew, Me, Parker, and Parker's brother Jared we finished them all. Then we went and hung out at Jared's house for a while. After that our friend Jake caught up with us and we went for milkshakes at Sheri's. Matthew and Parker had a great time catching up and telling jokes all through the night. I don't think Matthew came to bed till 3. Saturday we went to Denver to Bass Pro. We spent about 3 hours in there. It was okay for the at least an hour. But after that I had seen everything. We were able to meet up with Rocky Barrett . He is going to Physical Therapy school in Denver. The guys got me talked into dressing up in a huge camo outfit and jumping out and scaring Parker. It worked. After Denver we met the rest of Parker's family at Texas Road House for some dinner. We had a great weekend with you Parker hope you can come again. OH and Matthew starts working in Riverton this week. It is going to be hard to have him gone all week. So I am going to have to find stuff to keep me busy. Wish he didn't have to go, but it will be a great opportunity for him.

It's My Birthday!!

When I got home I found a Mango Limeade outside my door from Sonnie and Aspen. Thanks guys! Then I walked in the door the lights were out and I heard a song playing about me. I walked in and found a brand new yellow kitchen aide. I have been wanting one really bad, and Matthew was so sneaky and got me one with out me finding out. I love how he is always suprising me. My mother in law Jan came also , her and Stan got me scrapbook sissors and stickers. Thanks so much Stan and Jan love you guys. And my grandma in law Dorthy took us all out for Corona Villiage for Mexican food. Thanks Dorthy for buying us all dinner. Then after dinner Michael and Emily made a birthday cake for me. It was so yummy thanks guys. And thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. I had a great birthday. Here is the music video that Matthew told me that he called up this guy and had him write a song with my name in it for Matthew to dedicate to me.

Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial day weekend we headed up to the Big Horn Basin for a few days. Matthew only had to work till noon on Friday, so I went with him the Cheyenne and did some shopping while he was at work. We then took off towards Sheridan and went over the Big Horn Mountains into Lovell. The drive was very beautiful. That side of the Big Horns is for sure greener than the Lovell side. We were able to help Matthew's dad move cows from their pasture , so that they could take them up to Pryor where they will stay for the summer. We also helped Grandpa Monk brand his cows and then also Matthew's dad's cows too. We were able to go to church with my family and spend time with them on Sunday. The weather was great the whole time we were home. In fact we both got a little sunburned from being in the sun all weekend. We left late Monday around 7ish. We didn't get back to Laramie till around 2. Yesterday was my first day work at the Education Center, so that made for a long day because I was so tired from the weekend. But I do like my new job. It is great to spend all day with little kids. Today I even had a little boy in the 3 year old group tell me he loved me. It was very cute. Oh and this weekend my mother in law Jan and grandma in law Dorthy are coming for a visit. Just in time for my birthday. We are excited for them to visit.
