Pullman Baby Shower..

My wonderful friend Laurel threw me a baby shower today.Thank you Laurel for all your hard work, yummy treats, and cute decorations. I am so thankful for all the friends that came. Thanks everyone for all your presents and support! You all are the best!

38 Week Doctors Appointment

This morning I had my weekly doctors appointment with Dr. Trinh. Everything is going great. I am dilated to a 2 now, and 80% effaced. My blood pressure was up a little, but they said it wasn't high enough yet to be concerned. They said it might just be because  I was getting close to having this baby. I also had to go in for another stress test this morning. It went a lot better than last weeks. I contracted a little but not as crazy as last time. Baby Ian's heart rate and movement is doing great too. I want to make it past next week because its finals week for Matthew. Who knows if I will or not.
This afternoon I am treating myself to a pedicure. I can't wait. My friend Cody and I are going to the hair school in Moscow. Then tomorrow my sweetheart of a friend Laurel is throwing me a baby shower.Anyways I am feeling great, but ready for this baby to come. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Easter Weekend...

We had a pretty eventful Easter weekend. Friday I had a doctors appointment in the afternoon. They checked me and I am dilated to a 1.5 and 30 % effaced. The doctor wanted me to go in later that afternoon to the hospital to have a stress test because the umbilical cord is off to the side of the placenta instead of the center. I know there is a name for this, but can't remember what the doctor called it. Anyways they hooked me up to the monitors at the hospital, and I started contracting every 4 minutes. Nothing painful, but the nurse did not think I should leave the hospital. I was kind of scared at this point. I was all by myself, and for some reason I didn't feel ready for the baby to come.  They checked my cervix again, and I hadn't dilated anymore from my appointment. The hospital then called the doctors office, and they told them just to let me go home. I went and picked Matthew up after that, and we headed home for dinner. I contracted until about 10 that night, so we decided to call the hospital. Once again they weren't painful, so they told me just to stay home. We went to bed, and nothing ever ended up happening. Who knows we might get to meet our baby boy before we know it.
Saturday Matthew studied most the day because he has finals coming up soon. That night we went to the Vet school Junior preview. It was a show put on my the juniors that just made fun of students and staff. Easter Sunday we had stake conference, which was a broadcast from Salt Lake. We left early and we were able to get a soft bench to sit on, so I was able to make it through the two hours. We also enjoyed a yummy Easter dinner with our friends the Louder's. Thanks guys for a great meal. We had a wonderful Easter, and enjoyed the time we were able to spend together.
I love my Savior dearly. What a blessing it is to have the Atonement in our lives. I know that our Savior was resurrected and lives again. Because of this I know that I will someday be resurrected, and live again with our Heavenly Father. I am blessed to have this knowledge, and happiness in my life.

Called to Serve...

Today, my little sister Samantha got her mission call. She is going to Boston, Massachusetts, and will be Spanish speaking. Everyone is home for Easter, so I was able to get on the Skype and see everyone watch her open it. It was so neat to see her so happy. She wanted to go Spanish speaking so bad. She took it all through middle school, high school, and a few years in college. She leaves for the MTC on the  8th of June, which is so soon. I didn't think she would leave till the end of the summer. Good thing she gets to come with my Mom when Ian is born, so I can spend time with her. We will hopefully be back home in Wyoming before she takes off though. I am really proud of my little sister, and she will make a wonderful missionary.

Quick Road Trip

This last weekend we headed home for a couple of days. It sure was a lot of driving in just three days, but we enjoyed the time we were able to spend with our families. We left super early Friday morning and headed out of Pullman. We got to Lovell around 4 that afternoon. I was sure glad to get out of the car. Being 36 weeks pregnant sure makes it difficult to sit for a 10 hour drive. Matthew AI about 30 of his dads heifers that evening, and everyone came down to help. We were able to see the whole Asay crew. I love that Christian and Jill live in Lovell now, and we can see them every time we go home. We then enjoyed a delicious steak dinner as a family. We of course stayed up too late chatting, but I was able to sleep in the next morning. Even though I slept in Matthew did not. Everyone else was up early to AI the rest of the heifers. That morning my mom drove over to Lovell to pick me up to hang out with her for the day. I was lucky enough to get to see my sister Sam this weekend as well. She came home to watch my little brother Jacob's drama play. We are getting super excited to find out where she will go on her mission. It should come any day now. That evening we all went to Jacob's play "Romeo and Winifred". He play Romeo and did a wonderful job. Matthew wasn't able to make it to the play, but he came over to my parents afterwords to hang out.  The next morning we headed back to Pullman. The drive was good besides how long it was. I really enjoyed the time I was able to spend with Matthew though. It is crazy that is the last trip we will take with out any kiddos. Just about three weeks and our little boy will be here. We can hardly wait!!

Jacob's Play

35 Weeks..

Wednesday marked 35 weeks of being pregnant. I am really feeling big, a little swollen, and ready for this baby boy to come. Yesterday I had a doctors appointment, and everything seemed great. I love hearing the heartbeat every time I go. I go back in two weeks, and they will check my cervix for any progress. After that I go to once a week appointments. Our little baby will be here sooner then we think. Also my doctor did say that it would okay for me to go home with Matthew next weekend for a quick trip. We are excited to come home for a few days. It will be our last trip just the two of us. How crazy is that.

Matthew is staying busy with school. He finished up a big load of tests just this last week. He has one on Monday then a lab test on Wednesday, but then he doesn't have any till finals.  Today was the Vet school open house. Matthew is president elect for the Theriology club, so he had to run the club's booth. The school year is coming to a end. I can't believe how fast this first year of Vet school has flown by.

Nursery...

We finally got our crib all put together this last weekend, and the room pretty much cleaned out. We still have to find a place for our treadmill. I think we will just leave the computer desk up for now, till it gets too crowded in the room. And we have no room for it anywhere else in the apartment. I also still need to decorate a bit. I don't think I will do much right now just because we will be moving for the summer in June, but I have a few ideas rolling around.

Yesterday we went to our childbirth class, and we were able to get a tour of the birth place at the hospital. The rooms are really nice, and every room has a jetted tub in it. Yay! I volunteered to be hooked up to the monitors, so the class could see how they worked. It was fun to hear our baby's heart beat, and the monitor showed me having a braxton hicks contraction as well.  The clock is ticking, and I will be 34 weeks tomorrow. Its crazy how fast time has flown by. We are super excited for our sweet baby boy to get here.
