Being a toddler...

Ian is such a climber. I can't keep him off or away from anything. He climbed up on the counter the other day, and climbs on his dressers all the time. My apartment just can't be baby proofed enough for this crazy boy. Usually I can turn on Mickey Mouse while I take a shower and he is distracted from destroying my house. Besides once this week while in the shower all a sudden I could smell finger nail polish. I ran out of the shower to make sure it was not dumped all over my house. Ian got some on our bed sheets, and painted his lips with it. I wish I would of got a picture, but I hurried to get it off of him so quickly. Another one of his favorites since he can open the pantry door now is dragging out all the food all over the house. This cute toddler goes non-stop all day long.

It's Christmas Time Already...

Christmas is by far my favorite holiday. Matthew came home the other day after I had decorated and said, " You sure do get holly about Christmas." I think I must get it from my mom. She always has her tree up the day after Thanksgiving, and always made Christmas the biggest holiday in our family.  I love everything about it from the birth of our Savior to all the lights and decorations. I can't wait to have a house someday to have more room to decorate, and enjoy our own little Christmas in. We have had this little Charlie Brown tree the whole time we have been married, but I love to put it up, and get into the Christmas spirit. I hope aside from all the yummy food, lights, and presents we remember what Christmas is truly about. This time of year is the time to remember the birth of our Savior, as well as serving/giving to others.

Our little tree has to be put on a chair in the corner to keep Ian from destroying it. :)

I made this wreath today during Ian's nap. Not sure if I love it yet.

Thanksgiving 2012

We were able to go back to Wyoming for Thanksgiving this year. It was so great to get out of Washington and enjoy our family. I was super terrible at taking pictures while we were there, but I got a few. We played with cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandma's and grandpa's. While we were at my parents house for a few days Ian made my little brother Jake his best friend. He would follow him everywhere. Ian was even lucky enough to have Jake let me him watch Mickey in his room. :) Matthew loved helping out on his dad's farm, preg testing cows, riding horses, and working with Dr. Bischoff for a day. Thanksgiving day we ate dinner with the Asay clan, and drove over to the Bullinger dinner at my aunts. It was fun to catch up with some of my cousins my age. My cousin Brittany and I are both pregnant at the same time again. Oh and exciting news my little sister Brandy is pregnant! She is due May 27th, and we are excited for a cousin on the Bullinger side. Ian loved playing with his cousins. He really loves wrestling with his older cousins. I got to go see the Breaking Dawn part 2 with my grandma, mom and sister, did some black Friday shopping, and got an amazing pregnancy massage while we were there. We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving, and we are excited to spend Christmas with family as well. The holidays are the best!

The best family picture we got on Thanksgiving. Kind of some goofy smiles :)

20 weeks..

I am now 20 weeks along. I am feeling great, and our baby girl is growing bigger and bigger. At our ultrasound last week everything looked great. She is a very healthy baby. I love being able to feel her moving around in there. Feeling the baby move is the best part about pregnancy. It really is a miracle that I am growing a little baby inside of me.
I have been getting headaches a lot more than usual. It's hard when you are pregnant because you can't take much but Tylenol for it. It just doesn't cut it sometimes.
I think that will be naming our little girl Chloe. I really love it! Can't wait to meet her!
At my last appointment my doctor also said that if I wanted I could schedule my c-section 7 days before my due date. I think this baby might end up being a March baby. The earlier I can have her the better for us. We are super excited that we are having a girl. I can hardly wait to buy cute girl clothes.

18 months old..

Saturday Ian turned 18 months old. He has been going to nursery with us since August since we are the teachers, but he is officially old enough now. Ian is full of energy. This kid can run, run, run at 100 mph and never get tired. My favorite is when Matthew gets home. He could be so grumpy and once dad walks in the door he changes instantly. He dances around, wants Matthew to play, and runs around the house screaming. He screams when he is excited, and I mean really screams loud. He sure is good at throwing fits lately, but we still love him in all his glory. The other day I was gone, and called to tell Matthew I was on my way home. Ian loves talking on the phone so I got to talk to him too. It totally sounded like he said "I love you mama." It was so sweet. We were so excited today when he had his well child check up that the fluid in his ears was all cleared up. He has had fluid in them for the last few months, so no tubes yet. We will see how the winter goes with getting colds. We will cross our fingers.
Some things Ian is up to are:
- loves coloring
- loves reading books
- loves going to swimming lessons, and his favorite part is jumping off the side of the pool
-singing songs
-loves to eat
-jabbers and jabbers all day long. He walks around the house singing and it sounds like he is counting sometimes.
-loves mickey mouse still
-loves playing with cars and the toy car garage at nursery ( I am so excited to give him the one we got him for Christmas)
-makes animal noises all the time
-while we are driving in the car I will talk to him, and tell him where we are going, and he will say "mom, um um mom". I say "what Ian?" and he repeats "mom, um um mom." It's so cute.
-He is seriously the biggest climber. He climbs on anything and everything. Everyday I wonder if we are going to have to go to the ER for breaking some part of his body.
We sure do love our little ball of energy. We sure are happy you came to our family, and we can't wait to see what you learn next. Love you bunches Ian boy.

Girls Night Out!

My friend Marie got us 4 free tickets to the Scotty McCreery and Jana Kramer concert last night. They had the concert on campus at WSU, and I guess they were unable to sell all the tickets. So they started giving them away. Who wouldn't want to see this American Idol winner, great singer, and cute kid's concert? We all had a blast!
