Lately..

We have been trying to stay warm here. We are currently under a winter weather advisory until tomorrow evening. They are predicting that we are going to get 10 to 15 inches of snow. Maybe they will cancel school tomorrow. We could only hope :) I took my three hour glucose test and found out that I do not have gestational diabetes. It was such a blessing to hear that I didn't. I had Matthew give me a priesthood blessing before going in for the test. I have no doubt that because so my sugar levels are fine. I am hitting 32 weeks this week. Time is flying by so quickly, and before we no it little Chloe will be here. I have been enjoying not taking classes this semester. I took the last courses I needed for my associates in Elementary Ed last semester, and will get my diploma at the end of Spring 2013 semester. I don't have much left to finish up my bachelors  but at this point in our family life it is better for me to just be a mom. It's what I really want to be anyways, but I know it's important to get an education. I will return back to school at a more convenient time for our family. I have enjoyed spending more time with Ian, and getting ready for our baby girl to arrive. Matthew's school is going great, and has seemed to be a little more laid back then last semester. But the tests will start soon. In fact he has one this week. Ian is of course as wild as ever. His new favorite thing is to run to his room, close the door, and play in the corner of his room where I keep his blankets. Today when I got him out of his crib from nap, he has pulled four blankets in the crib with him through the bars. Silly boy! Ian and I started going to a Mom's group called Ps I love you. Last week was out first week, and I had fun. Ian however didn't love being away from me in the 1 year old's room, but he will get use to it.  We  just found out a couple of weeks ago that my little sister Sam is engaged. Her and Evan are going to be married in the Salt Lake temple on March 22nd. We wont be able to be there, but we are extremely happy for them. We are loving life right now, and can't wait to meet out baby girl. We feel truly blessed to be parents and thank our Heavenly Father everyday for Ian and baby girl on the way. 30 weeks

I have hit the 30 week mark. Only nine more weeks till our baby girl will be here.(Oh I don't know if I mentioned but our Chloe will be born on the 28th of March.)  Ahh I still have so much to do to get ready. Like get Ian in a toddler bed, so the baby can sleep in the crib. That's the one big thing on my mind to get done sooner rather then later. I am still sleeping pretty good. I have to get up a few times a night to go to the bathroom, but other then that sleeping is a good thing right now. I have been having some sciatic nerve issues in my left hip. There are some days I feel like I am dragging my leg. On the other hand there are days it doesn't even bug me. I took my one-hour glucose test last Saturday, and it came back too high. This Friday I go in for a three-hour glucose test to make sure I don't have gestational diabetes. I pray it comes back with good numbers, but then again obviously it wouldn't kill me to stop eating sugar. I finally got our spare bedroom cleaned/organized so we can fit a baby in there. Last Wednesday was my last doctors appointment, and the baby is measuring to date, heart beat is great and my blood pressure is normal.

FHE

It's so hard to keep a 20 month old's attention for any sort of lesson for family home evening.So during nap time I searched for different things that would be all about him yesterday. I ended up making bath paint for him. It was the best idea this mama had all day. Ian loved it, and it was so much fun watching him. He painted for a good 30 minutes, and then had a bath. We ended the night with peach smoothies, and Ian started saying the word please .(while signing it as well) It was so stinkin cute!

20 months

Ian turned 20 months old on the 10th. We are getting closer to having a two year old then a one year old these days. It's crazy how fast another year has gone by. This month we have done a lot of traveling for holidays and Ian has done great. Besides not eating very well while we were visiting family he is still growing like a weed. I can tell he has gotten taller this last month. He still has no idea that there is a baby in my tummy. He is going to have a rude awaking when we bring our baby girl home in a few months. I pray he will love her to pieces. He has not really pick up talking yet. He for sure jabbers lots in his own language, but no real words. (Besides ma ma and da da). It is kind of frustrating but hopefully soon he will pick up on it. Ian you are growing up so fast, and keep us running and laughing all day long.  Ian boy we love you like crazy, and can't imagine our life with out you.

The rest of our Christmas break

We are so lucky that Matthew gets three weeks off for Christmas break. We were able to see all our family, watch his brother Jacob wrestle, attend Grandma Dorothy's annual white elephant gift party, and play/work on the farm. Ian loved spending lots of time with his cousins, aunts, uncles, grandma's and grandpa's. We got back to Pullman yesterday, and we all stayed home sick from church today. Pullman is covered in lots of snow. Bring on winter time :(

It wouldn't be a Wyoming trip without checking out the cows. We loved being on the farm for a while.

Baby shower

When I was home for Christmas my Mom and sisters threw me a little baby shower for our baby girl. It was so nice of everyone to come and give me all the cute baby girl things. We played some cute games, and ate yummy food. I am very excited to have a little girl. Girls have so much fun stuff.

Christmas in Wyoming

As soon as Matthew finished his last final we headed out of Pullman. We stayed the first night at the Asay's, then on Sunday Matthew headed to North Platte, NE. He spent three days at a mixed vet practice clinic, and really enjoyed his time there. Ian and I spent those days with my family, and enjoyed spending time with Grandma, Grandpa, Bethany, Jake, Brandy, Mark, Sam and her boyfriend Evan .
Christmas eve we had our traditional gnocchi dinner. Matthew's Grandpa Asay brought the recipe home from his mission years ago. That evening we headed to my parents for some yummy finger foods, and the Christmas story. The next morning everyone was so excited to see Ian open his presents. We of course were spoiled by both our families again this year. That afternoon we headed to Matthew's parents for dinner and to skype with his brother Jared who is in Africa on a mission. We are excited that he gets to come home in just about 10 days. We don't get to see him till April but it will be great to see him. We enjoyed our Christmas with lots of family and celebrating the birth of our Savior. We are so thankful for him and his wonderful example to us.
