Ian's hair cut

Ian has been growing his hair out since October. It was getting pretty long, and he his bangs were starting to cover his eyes. We thought it was time to cut the long boy band hair. He is looking super cute with his buzz cut. He had an impressive pile of hair after we were done cutting it. He did really well, and didn't even cry. I was so proud of him.

Hope they call me on a mission

My little brother Jake got his mission call. He was called to the  Virginia Chesapeake mission. He leaves August 20th. We are so excited for him, and we know he couldn't be any happier. You are going to be a great missionary Jake. We sure love you!

13 months

Chloe is now 13 months old. She is a our little fire cracker. She is full of personality. I just love it! She will say prayers with us not. She folds her hands and jabbers something, tries to shut her eyes and says ehhh at the end. It's the cutest thing.
She loves to eat everything still. Her favorites are mac and cheese and yogurt.
She is starting to climb everything. She is taking after her big brother for sure. She knows how to climb the stairs at both her grandma's. Now we need to teach her to come down them because she thinks she can walk down them.
She loves to read books, watch cat and the hat knows a lot, mickey mouse and curious george.
She hates having her teeth brushed and diaper changed. She screams the whole time. She sleeps a full 12 hours almost every night. She can do with one nap a day, but I love when I can get two out of her. This doesn't always happen with our busy schedule though.
She can say no, yes, baba, nana for banana done, mama, dada sign more and all done. She shakes her head yes and no. She points at things she wants or to say no she shakes her finger at you. She knows things that she is not suppose to do, and will say no no no while doing them.
She has learned to blow kisses and loves to go go go. She likes to sit in her big girl car seat lots more then the baby carrier.
She loves shoes so much and talking on the phone.
We love you sweet girl, and can't imagine our family without you. Love you like crazy diva girl!

Vacation and Easter

Matthew had a two week vacation from school, so we headed to Wyoming. We had so many things to do while we were there. We looked at 8 different places to live, and we were not finding what would work for us. There were all good things and bad things about all of them. Then all a sudden one of Matthews parent's rentals opened up. We are so happy, and can't wait to move in. We got things lined out a little more with Matthew's job. He is getting excited to start work in a few weeks. We bought a pickup for Matthew to use for work. Then we got all of Ian's therapy/preschool lined out. We are so thankful and excited that we are able to get the therapy he needs to help him learn and grow.
We were able to be home for Easter. That hasn't happened in 4 years. Both my sisters came home and we spent the day with them on Friday and did a little Easter there. My sister Brand took the kids pictures. I am so excited about them. We also did an Easter egg hunt with the kids.
Saturday we all pitched in and cleaned up Matthews mom's yard. It looks really nice now. Then later that day Jan did a Easter egg hunt for the Asay grand kids. Chloe got the hang of egg hunting, and loved it. Ian would find one egg and want to eat the candy out of it. He was set with just one egg as long as it had candy.
Sunday we enjoyed church in the ward that we will be in now, and a big Asay family dinner.
We are so thankful for our Savior and his Atonement, and we love him. Because of him we are able to be a family forever. There is no better blessing in life then our families!

1 year stats

Chloe had her 1 year check up today, and she is doing great. She is still so tiny, but Dr. Mike wasn't concerned with it. He said that whole milk will put the weight on her. Her ears were clear from her ear infection she had about 3 weeks ago. We were lucky to get away with one ear infection with her this winter. Hopefully no more this spring. Yay for healthy babies!

1st Birthday Party!

Last night we had a little party for Chloe. I decided to be ambitious and made her cake. I did a three layer, pink ombre cake. It had raspberry cream in the center, and pink butter frosting.  Chloe was so cute when everyone was singing to her. She thought it was so fun! Thanks everyone for celebrating out sweet girl's birthday.
Opening presents from Grandpa & Grandma Bullinger

Birthday pancakes with sprinkles of course.

Ian fell asleep on our bed about half way through the party. He had had enough of the partying for one day I guess. Matthew and I with our birthday girl.

Chloe is 1!!!

One year ago at 7:30 in the morning Chloe was born via c-section. I remember the first thing the doctor and nurses said was she was so beautiful. The second thing was look at those chubby cheeks. We are sure glad that our beautiful, chubby cheek Chloe decided to join our family. We love our baby girl so much. I literally just in the hospital having her cut out of me though. This year has flown by so fast.
At a year old Chloe:
Says: uh oh, yes and done. She also jabbers so much more.
Signs: more and all done
She can also: Climb things, wave bye and hi, goes and gets her shoes when I say lets go bye bye. She sleeps 12 hours at night. She also only takes one nap most day.
Likes: To wear her shoes, headband and coat in the house. When I get her dressed in the morning she wants her shoes on as well, even if we aren't going anywhere. She loves fruit, toast, pancakes, eggs, candy, french fries, mac and cheese, cheese. She will pretty much eat anything. She likes to drink cow milk now. I started to slowly wean her a little last week, and she has kind of quit nursing now. She will a little bit at night before bed, but that's it.
Chloe loves to give kisses, loves to cuddle, watch Cat and the Hat, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, read books, playing with her brother. She loves to go places. She has to do everything her brother does as well. If not we will hear about it.
Chloe has 7 teeth now and another one on the bottom about to break through. She loves music, and sings along. She also will fold her hands when we says prayers.

We sure love our sweet princess Chloe. She has so much spunk and is feisty. All girls need to be this way. I sure am one lucky mom to be able to raise a daughter of God. I feel so blessed that Heavenly Father has trusted me with sweet Chloe. She will and has taught me so much already as a mom. I am so excited to watch her grow into a beautiful young women. Love you so much Chloe. Don't ever forget it. Happy birthday sweet girl! Its so fun to see what a difference a year makes. Babies grow too fast!
