Spring Dance Recital

Chloe has loved being in dance this year. She has become such a little dancer. She loves to make up dance moves and dances all over the house. She did great at the recital and looked so stinking cute. We sure love our little dancing girl. Chloe can't wait to until dance starts up in the fall. She's been trying to guess what color of recital dress she will have for the year.

Easter 2017

We had a wonderful Easter this year. We got to spend time with Mark & Brandy and their cute kiddos. We went swimming at the Powell Rec Center, had a fun Easter egg hunt, dyed eggs and the Easter bunny visited us. We are especially thankful for our Savior this time of year. We are thankful for his sacrifice and giving us the life we have as a family.

Chloe's 4th birthday

We celebrated Chloe's birthday little pony style. She really wanted to have a friend party with all her church, dance and preschool friends. This girl is our very social butterfly. I compromised with a big cousin party. She said well those are my friends too mom. Yay for cousin friends. She got extra spoiled with lots of presents and enjoyed playing with her cousins. Chloe is such a fun little girl. She has so much personality, and it shows through that big smile on her face all the time. She loves to watch Ipad maybe too much, loves riding her bike, riding her horse Tonto, play makeup, loves primary, is the best little sister to Ian and she loves to help her dad or trick her dad into taking her to Grandma Asay's. We love you sweet girl and we hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Father's day 2016

I am sure lucky to have married such a great guy. He is the best daddy to our kiddos. He works so hard for our family and loves us very much. I am also thankful for all the other dads in my life. My dad has taught me so much over the years. He is such a hard worker too. He most defiantly taught me to never give up and work hard in life. My father in-law is a great example in my life as well. He is one of the kindest people I know. Dad's are great, and I am glad we get to celebrate them one a year!

Asay Family Reunion 2016

Grandma Asay turned 100 years old in June, so this called for a Asay family reunion/birthday party! We headed to Utah on Friday. We went through the park and never saw a single animal. It was fun though. Chloe loved looking for water farts (waterfalls). Our first stop was in Malad, ID. Our friends the Firths were there at Phil's parents helping out on the ranch. We hung out there and had dinner, before headed to Tremonton, UT. Phil and Angela live there, where Phil works at Bear River Vet Clinic. This clinic use to be owned by Matthew's uncle Clark.
We stayed the night with them at their house. We stayed up way too late telling stories. We sure do miss vet school days when we hung out with the Firth's all the time. Chloe and Eli helped Angela and I prepare a yummy breakfast the night before. It was so yummy that morning before taking off to Provo for the family reunion.
It started raining on the way up to Provo and rained on and off most the day. They had yummy donuts and juice for breakfast when we first arrived. It was great seeing everyone and meeting some Asay's I had never met before. A lot of Matthew's cousins he hadn't seen for years, so it was a great reunion.
We were so lucky that there was a little swing set next to the pavilion at the church. Ian swung all day rain or shine.
For lunch they served some super yummy Jdawgs. They were polish dogs and hot dogs. After lunch they had lots of games for the kids to play. Chloe loved the bubble making and parachute. Ian kept on swinging. They also had a hike set up for those who wanted to hike. We stayed at the church so that Ian could continue to swing.
After a while we decided to go check into our hotel and let Ian shower. He was soaked from playing in the rain all day.
That night they had a yummy dinner inside the church. They had Cafe Rio brought in. They had a great slid show of Grandma's life, the great grand kids all sang a couple of songs, Uncle Clark shared a life history and we were able to hear from Grandma as well.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate Grandma. I am so thankful that I married into such a great family. Grandma Asay is such a great example to us all. We love her very much.
When we got back to the hotel we took the kids swimming before going to bed. They had a blast and we slept like rocks that night. The next morning we headed out. We tried to see our friends the Hansens in Heber City before heading home. They ended up being in church, but Billy came out to the parking lot to see us for a few minutes.
We had a great trip and so glad we were able to go on a little vacation as a family.

Summer Therapy Camp

This is is Ian's second year of therapy camp. Last year he has a few rough nights sleeping and days at camp. He did great this year! He loved it too. I think being a year older and knowing what was up helped him out. It was Monday-Thursday mornings. We were able to stay with my Aunt Mandy again. It's so nice that she lives up in Billings. Ian had lots of fun doing crafts, playing in the water, and having social time with all his other friends that go to the therapy clinic.
He slept like a champ the whole week, and we enjoyed spending time with Mandy's family. I loved being able to spend one on one time with my little man.
It was also fun to do some shopping and run errands kid free while Ian was at camp. Ian crashed on our way home on Thursday afternoon. It was so nice for Chloe to get to stay at Grandma Asay's during the day when Matthew was at work. He cousins were staying the week too, so she has a blast!
