21 months...

Ian turned 21 months old today. Poor boy has been pretty sick today though. He has had a little bit of a fever and a nasty cough. Matthew stayed home with him from church and he got a long nap in. I hate that he is sick, but I love that he wants to cuddle so much when he is sick. Last night I had to rock him back to sleep a couple of times. It's crazy to think that he will be two in May. He looks so big in my arms last night as I rocked him. I haven't had to rock him to sleep for a while now. It was kind of nice. He has not picked up talking yet, but just still jabbers. I finally had his doctor recommend that he go to speech therapy. We started that last week. Ian really loved playing with all the toys the therapist had. She told me she can tell that he has great understanding of things, and catches on to things really quick. He just hasn't pick up on the language he needs to communicate back to us. Hopefully speech will help. Wednesday they had him meet with a audiologist because he has had a history of fluid in his ears as well as ear infections. He still has fluid in his ears. That evening we met with Dr. Mike and they are not infected, so we are waiting for another three weeks to see if they clear up. I just hope this cold didn't give him a ear infection now. Besides all of the doctors and therapist lately Ian is such a happy boy. He loves being in a toddler bed. He thinks its the best thing that he can get in and out of his bed on his own.
-He loves to read books
-Coloring
-When I sing songs to him. He will do the actions to "twinkle twinkle little star", "wheels on the bus", and "itsy bitsy sider".
-He loves to have dance parties
-Loves to jump off of things, and say" wow wow wow" while doing so
-Loves mac and cheese, hot dogs, eggs, yogurt, waffles, any kind of meat, ketchup on anything, fruit and gold fish
-Lately he has had some serious separation anxiety. We are hoping he grows out of it soon before the baby comes.
-Loves saying prayers

Our little Ian man is full of energy and so much fun. We feel so lucky to be his parents. I am excited for him to be a big brother to a sister. It will be fun to see how protective he is to his sister, and taking care of her all the time. Love you Ian boy!
I got this picture at church today. He fell asleep holding his dad's finger.

Ian loves to watch Wheel of Fortune. It's the cutest thing.

Bryant was in speech too and just "graduated". :o) He understood everything, it just took him awhile to talk! Abby also loved Wheel of Fortune. It's funny that Ian does too. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well.

Ian sounds exactly like Colson was. Colson had fluid in his ears all the time too. If it wasn't fluid, they were infected. He's made lots of progress since getting tubes in. Speech didn't really help till he got those tubes placed. Colson also has that crud that's going around. High fever and nasty cough. Oi. Hope he feels better soon!
