Sick Babies

We can't catch a break lately. The kids have been sick for 2 1/2 weeks now with colds. I took Chloe to the doctor last week, and she ended up with a double ear infection. Monday I took Ian to the doctor because he has had a terrible cough for 2 weeks. They prescribed an albuterol inhaler to help. It seems like it is helping his cough some, so hopefully we will see it help even more. Yesterday, Chloe woke up from her nap covered in a rash. The first thing I thought was that it was caused by the amoxicillin she has been on for a week for her ears. I called the doctors office, and the nurse said I had to come in. Sure enough the doctor said that it was caused by the combination of the amoxicillin and  cold virus mix. They don't know why that happens it just does in some kids. It doesn't necessarily mean she is allergic to it either. I am just suppose to watch her to make sure she doesn't start scratching, and finish the medicine on her still. At least they have been sleeping well. That makes a worlds difference, and has helped them get better. Hopefully we can go to church this week. Its been three weeks since we have gone from traveling and being sick.
On the other hand we are seeing signs of spring. Hopefully that means the end of sick kiddos too. A mom could only hope.
