Ian the rock star

Ian is such a good big brother. Chloe loves him to pieces. The other night Matthew was helping Ian give Chloe a piggy back ride. It is the cutest thing to see these two play together. They were both giggling. Ian just amazes me how much he is progressing. Therapy is going very well. They have started a program called PECS with him just in the last little while. It's a picture exchange program that helps Ian communicate with us, because he is still non-verbal. We are very hopeful that someday he will talk though. We are hearing some words just out of the blue though. He can say IPAD, he loves playing on the IPAD, so it's great that he can tell us this. He has started humming or singing lala la  a lot lately. Its the cutest thing. He has done really well with using the potty. I take him every hour, and he goes pee every time I take him. His favorite part is to flush the toilet. The last couple of days he has kept his diaper dry all morning before nap. The last couple of weeks all the therapist at the ABA clinic have been so impressed at how awesome Ian is doing. Ian is such a rock star. The PECS program has been amazing for him. He can now tell us what he wants. The other night he went to his PECS book grabbed the I want and granola bar card and brought it to me. It was seriously amazing that he could have a way to tell me he wanted that. He has changed programs with his ABA therapy because he has proved that he can do those goals set for him and beyond. One goal was to sit at the table for more them 2 1/2 minutes and work on activities. Ian has shown that he can sit up to an hour and 1/2 and work on activities. We love our little rock star and are so proud of him. I love his Christ like love for his family/friends around him. He is such a sweetie pie.
