22 months...

We almost have a 2 year old! Ian is 22 months old today. Some things that Ian has been up to this month:
- He got a ear infection and still has fluid in his ears. Hopefully the next appointment they will be cleared up
-He likes speech, and is getting more comfortable and saying a few more words
- He has started saying no: "dough dough", when I say all done he says "don don", he says "num num" for yum. We have also been working on using his sign language a little, and eye contact when we talk to him. He is getting better at it all.
- Still loves Mickey, and does a hot dog hot dog dance
- Loves to color and says "ca ca ca" when he does it. So sorta sounds like color color.
-Loves to eat chocolate, anything sweet, watermelon and all other fruit , marshmallows, gold fish, fruit snacks, mac and cheese,  meat, cheese and drinks whole milk like it's going out to style. He is overall a great little eater.
-Ian loves being naked. We always find him with his clothes off.
-We officially  moved him to an actual toddler bed today. He has been in his crib with the side off, and has done really well. It does take him a little longer to fall asleep, but other then that he does great.
-Ian loves to read books. One of his favorites is his "head, shoulders, knees and toes book. He does the song along with the pictures. He usually just says and points to his "hea, and to" for,  head and toes,  it's super cute cute.
- He has finally gotten use to our PS I love you group. His teacher came and told me the other day he was doing so well, and we even laughing and playing with the other kids instead of waiting by the door for me.
- He likes nursery, but his favorite part is playing with the toys. He is not into the singing time or lesson time so much.
-He likes to play with his animals and barn, his car track, throwing his ball around, or riding his bike or little puppy around.
- He loves bath time, combing his hair, brushing his own teeth, and getting lotion or hand sanitizer put on his hands.
- For some reason Ian gets all his energy about an hour or two before he goes to bed. He runs around the house like a wild man.
-Ian loves to do things he knows he is not suppose to. I think he does it just to see my reaction.
- Ian is a adrenalin junkie. He loves being thrown in the air, jumping off anything high, or doing anything daring. I am surprised we haven't been to the ER with this little guy yet . (knock on wood) :)
-Whenever we are cooking in the kitchen he likes to empty out all the pots and pans and hit and bang on them. I think he thinks he is cooking too.
-This little boy loves being outside, but what little boy doesn't. I am excited for it to get warmer so we can be out more.
-He has an obsession with all his blankets lately. He has to have almost every blanket he owns in bed with him, and in the morning they come to the living room with him. Even if he has to drag one at a time he gets them all to and from his bedroom.
Ian your Dad and I love you so much, and are so happy you came to our family. We can't believe you are almost two, and enjoy watching you grow and learn. You make us very happy, and we love to spend time with you. Sometimes we lay in bed at night when we can't sleep and talk about how we need to wake you up to play. We can't wait to see how what a good big brother you will be. We know that you will take care of your baby sister Chloe. We love you baby boy.
Ian loves eating watermelon.

Hair cut..

I have never been brave enough to cut Ian's hair before. Yesterday, I finally got the courage to do it. I have cut Matthew's forever with the hair clippers, so I thought I could do the same with Ian's. It turned out pretty good. I am not use to him having such short hair though. When I was done, I was kind of freaking out how much hair was on the ground. He looks pretty stinkin cute still.

Warmer Weather..

Yesterday afternoon Matthew was headed to our friend Phil's to do some roping, so Ian and I tagged along. Their apartment has a little park right behind it, so it was great for Ian. I feel like we haven't been outside to play forever since I have been pregnant, and winter time. It was finally warm enough to go out though. Ian was in heaven. He ran like crazy, and of course had to step in all the mud, and water puddles.

Comparison..

I have 35 days left until our baby Chloe arrives. It's amazing how much you forgot from one pregnancy to the next. I don't remember being so uncomfortable just sitting when I was pregnant with Ian, but I am sure I was. I also don't remember it hurting to walk at times. I am sure it did. I do remember being a lot more swollen at this point with Ian. This time around I am still wearing my wedding ring. (Which makes me very happy :) Here is a comparison of 35 weeks with Chloe and 35 weeks pregnant with Ian. When I was looking at this picture of me pregnant with Ian, I kept thinking why in the heck did I cut my hair that short while being sooo pregnant. (made me laugh)

Lately..

34 weeks

I just hit my 34th week of being pregnant with our baby Chloe. Less sleep has hit because of being uncomfortable at night, the baby's kicks to the ribs hurt like crazy, more and more braxton hicks contractions and am pretty sure I have a bad case of a pregnancy waddle going on. We have just about 42 days left until my scheduled c-section. Can't wait to meet our beautiful girl!

Since Saturday Ian has been coughing super bad. Sunday he had a fever of 102 degrees, and still coughing. The fever is gone, but he hasn't been eating as much, and still coughing. Today I decided to take him to the doctor because last week he had fluid in his ears, and is still coughing. Well turns out one of his ears is infected, and he has a little case of pneumonia. Usually he does so good at the doctor office but he was not happy to be there today. He wouldn't even take the sticker from the doctor at the end of the appointment. She had made him pretty mad looking in his mouth. Dr. Boyer gave us an antibiotic that will hopefully clear up this gunk. Sure glad I took him in though otherwise his little case of pneumonia could be worse.
We have been watching more then our share of cartoons during these last few sick days.

We are excited for a long weekend. Matthew doesn't have school on Monday, so we will have lots of time with him.

21 months...

Ian turned 21 months old today. Poor boy has been pretty sick today though. He has had a little bit of a fever and a nasty cough. Matthew stayed home with him from church and he got a long nap in. I hate that he is sick, but I love that he wants to cuddle so much when he is sick. Last night I had to rock him back to sleep a couple of times. It's crazy to think that he will be two in May. He looks so big in my arms last night as I rocked him. I haven't had to rock him to sleep for a while now. It was kind of nice. He has not picked up talking yet, but just still jabbers. I finally had his doctor recommend that he go to speech therapy. We started that last week. Ian really loved playing with all the toys the therapist had. She told me she can tell that he has great understanding of things, and catches on to things really quick. He just hasn't pick up on the language he needs to communicate back to us. Hopefully speech will help. Wednesday they had him meet with a audiologist because he has had a history of fluid in his ears as well as ear infections. He still has fluid in his ears. That evening we met with Dr. Mike and they are not infected, so we are waiting for another three weeks to see if they clear up. I just hope this cold didn't give him a ear infection now. Besides all of the doctors and therapist lately Ian is such a happy boy. He loves being in a toddler bed. He thinks its the best thing that he can get in and out of his bed on his own.
-He loves to read books
-Coloring
-When I sing songs to him. He will do the actions to "twinkle twinkle little star", "wheels on the bus", and "itsy bitsy sider".
-He loves to have dance parties
-Loves to jump off of things, and say" wow wow wow" while doing so
-Loves mac and cheese, hot dogs, eggs, yogurt, waffles, any kind of meat, ketchup on anything, fruit and gold fish
-Lately he has had some serious separation anxiety. We are hoping he grows out of it soon before the baby comes.
-Loves saying prayers

Our little Ian man is full of energy and so much fun. We feel so lucky to be his parents. I am excited for him to be a big brother to a sister. It will be fun to see how protective he is to his sister, and taking care of her all the time. Love you Ian boy!
I got this picture at church today. He fell asleep holding his dad's finger.

Ian loves to watch Wheel of Fortune. It's the cutest thing.

Nap Time...

Ian decided to nap behind the glider in his room today. I am totally fine with it as long as he is napping.
