Surgery for Ian

Ian has been getting lots of ear infections still. At his age (5) he shouldn't be getting as many as he is. We switched Ear Nose & Throat doctors because we were less then impressed with the one we had. He had put Ian's first set of ear tubes in, and things didn't really change once we got them put in.
We love our new ENT. Dr. Kennedy is amazing with Ian and so helpful.
She decided that Ian needed a new set of ear tubes and wanted to remove his adenoids. We were all for it if it would decrease the infections Ian was getting all the time.
Sure enough on surgery day his ears were full of infection and his adenoids were dripping with infection as well. The doctor said she had never seen so much infection in one little boy. They cleaned his ears and place a different kind of tube in them, and removed his adenoids.
Ian did great with surgery. He was of course very upset when he woke up. We were able to get him to the car quick and he was happy driving in the car and drinking a pop.
I am so thankful we live in  a day and time of amazing modern medicine.
We had to be in Billings at 6:30 in the morning. Ian stayed awake the whole ride up. Silly boy!

Watching a little Mickey Mouse before surgery.

The meds are kicking in.

Ian was not happy with just water to drink. He snatched dad's pop instead.
