My little brother turned 18 in June, and had planned on going to school for a whole year. He was excited to hear that he can leave now. He has started his mission papers, and plans to leave after the semester is over. Matthew's little brother Jacob turns 18 next month, and we are excited that he will be able to go right after graduation.
Sunday afternoon we had our friends the Firth's over for lunch, and enjoyed watching conference with them. For lunch we had a pork loin, so I decided to make some homemade applesauce. We always had applesauce with pork growing up. It turned out so yummy, and it's even better the 2nd day.
I am so thankful for our church leaders, and President Monson. I can feel their love for me when I listen to conference. I am so thankful to have a prophet today that leads and guides us, so that someday we can return to heaven with our Heavenly Father.

| Ian did a lot more playing, and got a few naps in during conference. But hey we got to enjoy it because he was happy :) |
Homemade applesauce
10 medium apples peels and sliced
1 c. of water
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Then I cooked it on high for about 4-5 hours in my crock pot till the apples were all soft. I put the apples and all the juice in my blender. I blended it to the consistency I wanted, and place it back in the crock pot.
I also added a little more cinnamon before serving it.
We loved it. I will for sure be making it again sometime.
